About
As Visual Strategies Manager for the Chattanooga-based non-profit River City Company, Jessica oversees the development of a variety of marketing materials from print items to social media content to photography, video, and beyond. She received her BFA in graphic design in 2016 from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and has since gained a slew of work experience as a designer and marketing professional. Additionally, Jessica holds a BFA in sculpture with a focus in ceramics, also from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga– because one art degree just isn't enough for an overachiever.
Curiosity and ingenuity are driving forces for her in both work and life, and Jessica has a real gumption that results in her continuously learning new skills. She's never met a design challenge she couldn't crack, and in fact she relishes those opportunities to be stretched creatively. Her jack-of-all-trades approach has suited her well over the years, as she has a history of landing in unusual jobs– albeit all equally artful in nature. In the earlier years of her career, she worked as a Bunraku puppeteer, as well as a skilled butcher, all while earning her second BFA.
When it comes to her work, Jessica expertly combines her unique experiences and skillsets (acquired both within and outside of her formal artistic education) in order to conceptualize, as well as create, with both two- and three-dimensional perspectives.
